What is ACT?

Part of the ‘third wave’ of CBT, ACT uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies together with commitment and behaviour change techniques and is a unique, empirically based psychological intervention. ACT can be used successfully in the treatment of long term conditions such as:~

chronic pain    smoking    diabetes    psychosis     depression      epilepsy
